Under the plan, the local authorities expected the vaccination would cover 95% of high risks groups from potential infection.
To carry out such plan, the city would mobilize sufficient resources to help speed up the vaccination program, including health facilities in Hanoi.
The priority group for vaccination under government’s instruction in resolution No.21/NQ-CP dated February 26, 2021 including frontline workers of those working in health facilities, people directly involving in the Covid-19 fight (members of the Steering Committee on Covid-19 prevention and control at all-level, staffs at quarantine zones, or those tracing suspected Covid-19 cases, journalist, military and police personnel.
This would be followed by diplomatic staffs working in Vietnam and from Vietnam sending abroad; customs and immigrant officers.
All those under priority list would subject to vaccination free of charge, while the city would carry out the program based on the amount of vaccine provided by the Ministry of Health. After completing the first group, second group in the priority list would be subject for vaccination.
The plant also urged local health facilities to closely supervise any negative impacts after vaccination under instruction of the Ministry of Health and decree No.104/2016/ND-CP dated July 1, 2016 of the government and circular No.34/2018/TT-BYT dated November 12, 2018 of the Ministry of Health.
