Under the plan, the city will review and perfect policies relating to the rural employment development, and create favorable conditions for traditional craft villages, aiming to gradually improve the material and spiritual lives of local residents.
Particularly, Hanoi will support ten craft villages in building up their trademarks and, while putting effort into creating 10,000-15,000 jobs for rural workers by the end of 2021, with the average income per capita of VND50-60 million.
In order to fulfill the above-mentioned target, the municipal People’s Committee will promote the application of science and technology in production in traditional craft villages.
Training courses in teaching skills will be held for craftsmen to pass on their ancient crafts to younger generations in accordance with regulations.
At the same time, the municipal authorities will have preferential policies to support the development of rural industries.
