Promoting cooperatives’ role in collective economic development (10:03 04/09/2019)

HNP - The Hanoi Party Committee on August 28 released Announcement No. 2174-TB/TU on conclusions of Hoang Trung Hai, Politburo member and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee at the working session with the Municipal Cooperative Alliance. 

Regarding key missions in the last five months of 2019, Secretary Hoang Trung Hai requested the Municipal Cooperative Alliance to focus on building its strong Party organization; strengthen political education to raise the awareness on  position and role of collective economy in the new era among cadres and Party members; increase cadres and Party members' responsibility for setting example according to Regulation No. 101-QD/TW dated June 7, 2012 of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat; effectively carry out Resolution of the 12th Party Central Committee’s 4th plenum on enhancing the Party building and rectification, and preventing and curbing ideological, ethical and lifestyle degradation, as well as the manifestation of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” inside the Party,  associated with Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, moral and lifestyle. 
It is necessary for the Cooperative Alliance to consolidate the development of the Party members and organizations in association with implementing Resolution No. 09-NQ/TU dated February 27, 2012 of the 15th Municipal Party Committee on strengthening the building of Party and people’s organizations in non-state business sector in Hanoi by 2020.
In addition, the Cooperative Alliance is tasked to promote its important role in developing collective economy and cooperatives; timely deal with issues of apparatus organization and personnel work; pay attention to fulfilling assigned missions; build product value chains; provide technology and consulting services; and expand successful cooperative models. 
The Announcement underlined the need for the Municipal Cooperative Alliance to advise the Municipal People’s Committee on issuing official letters for collective economic development; serve as a bridge among cooperatives, the Municipal Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee; build additional advanced cooperative models; carry out preferential policies for collective economy and cooperatives; improve the qualification of human resources in the collective economic sector; support cooperative groups, cooperatives and cooperative unions in applying new technologies for increasing the productivity and quality of products associated with value chains; expand the market for farm produce and traditional products of cooperatives.
Hai also asked the Municipal Cooperative Alliance to renovate  and improve activities of cooperatives and cooperative unions; create favorable conditions to establish new cooperatives in different fields; build collective economic models in the context of the fourth industrial revolution; boost international cooperation; deal with difficulties and problems for cooperatives, strengthen connections among cooperatives and other economic sectors, among other tasks.
