Hanoi strives to have all districts meeting new-style rural criteria by the end of 2022 (20:22 09/09/2021)
Since the implementation of the PCC’s resolution 26, Hanoi has attained comprehensive achievements in agriculture and rural development.
The total value of Hanoi's agro-forestry and fishery production reached over VND54.4 trillion in 2020, up 270.6% compared to 2008.
Hanoi has had 12 districts and towns in the city meeting all criteria set for new style rural areas to date, which are Dan Phuong, Dong Anh, Thanh Tri, Hoai Duc, Quoc Oai, Gia Lam, Thach That, Thuong Tin, Thanh Oai, Phuc Tho, Soc Son and Son Tay.
The city strives to have 100% of its rural districts and towns to meet standards for new-style areas by the end of 2022.
So far, 368 out of 382 rural communes city-wide (or 96.3%) have been recognized as new style rural areas, of them, 29 have met advanced standards. The remaining communes are trying their best to fulfill the criteria for new-style rural areas this year.
Thanks to the new style rural building, farmers’ living standards have been improved remarkably. Per capita income in rural areas increased from VND8 million in 2008 to VND55 million in 2020.
Besides, social and political security and national defense have been maintaining. The building of the Party and political system has drawn special attention. The unity block has been consolidated.
To promote the results as well as remove shortcomings and weaknesses during the building, the municipal Party Committee set up 12 tasks and solutions to continue effectively realizing the resolution 26.
