Hanoi carries out phase two of financial support for people affected by Covid-19 (09:06 14/05/2020)
The decision is set to become effective from May 12.
The decision stipulated five groups of people entitled to financial support in phase two in the city, including people losing their jobs; people having their labor contracts terminated, or unqualified to file for unemployment benefits; people forced to take unpaid leave; business households; businesses seeking preferential loans to pay severance packages.
Hanoi People’s Committee requested the municipal Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to cooperate with relevant agencies in ensuring transparency and publicity in the payment process; timely addressing issues emerged during the delivery; supervising the payment process at localities.
People’s committees at district- and ward-levels are asked to disseminate the government’s policies in supporting people affected by the pandemic among the business community and the public; ensuring transparency, publicity and on-time delivery of financial support and avoiding corruption or cases of abusing government’s policies.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front - Hanoi is requested encourage the public and the business community to continue supporting people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and supervise the payment process.
