Hanoi to ensure safety in receiving Vietnamese returnees amid Covid-19 (10:18 16/09/2020)

HNP - Hanoi People’s Committee issued Document No.4436/UBND-KGVX on September 11 on receiving Vietnamese returnees who would be isolated in paid quarantine facilities.

The document referred to the instruction of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the announcement No.313/TB-VPCP dated August 29, 2020, in which requested provinces/cities to have quarantine facilities meeting the requirements of hosting people entering Vietnam, regardless of Vietnamese or foreign nationals.
Specifically, all Vietnamese entering Vietnam via Noi Bai International Airport would be taken to army-run quarantine facility for Covid-19 testing. In case of positive test result, they would be transferred to hospitals for treatment. Otherwise, people would continue to be isolated at these facilities or moved to a hotel for paid quarantine at their request.
For request to be isolated at paid quarantine facilities, people having a confirmation of booking from hotel would be transferred there for isolation. If  having not booked any hotel,  they could contact the quarantine management unit for instruction.
Management units of quarantine facilities are responsible for cooperating with hotels to support people looking to be quarantine in paid facilities and draft list of people moving to hotels to inform local authorities.
The Department of Health would instruct all health facilities providing instruction for people looking to isolate at paid quarantine facilities.
Meanwhile, People’s Committees at districts and wards having paid quarantine facilities have to ensure safety regulations from the Ministry of Health.
