Following the plan, Hanoi would set up a series of measures to promote rural industries towards higher quality, efficiency and competitiveness.
By 2020, the city expects to provide craft training classes for 1,650 rural workers; 400 craft villages taking part in domestic and international trade fairs; assist 15 villages to upgrade modern equipment for production; support the design of new craft products from 350 new samples; help training for higher corporate governance capabilities for 1,750 executives, rural industrial facilities and create jobs for 10,000 rural workers.
To achieve these targets, Hanoi People’s Committee instructed the municipal Department of Industry and Trade to carry out the plan in accordance to laws and regulations, ensuring no overlapping activities and efficiency.
Additionally, the Department along with related agencies would select suitable proposals from rural industrial facilities to provide support in 2020.
The Department is tasked with mapping out detailed plans to support companies and firms taking part in international trade fairs and host the International Gift Show of Hanoi in 2020; organizing competition for designing sample of Hanoi’s craft products in 2020; organizing the trade fair for high quality agricultural products and goods in 2020; supporting the application of modern technologies and equipment into production; supporting the development of industry and craft village in Hanoi.
Related agencies and departments are tasked with cooperating with the municipal Department of Industry and Trade in implementing industrial promotion program in 2020, ensuring higher efficiency and competitiveness.
Political organizations, business associations and others are encouraged to propose projects related to industrial promotion programs to the Department for consideration and approval.
