Hanoi schools remain closed through February (09:28 17/02/2021)

HNP - The Hanoi People’s Committee issued Official Letter No. 460/UBND-KGVX on February 15 on allowing students from kindergartens to high schools to stay at home from February 17 to 28, as a COVID-19  precautious measure.

Accordingly, the Hanoi People's Committee agreed with the municipal education department's proposal that all schools from kindergarten level will close between February 17 and February 28 to prevent the spreading of the novel coronavirus.

During the period, the schools will give online classes for over two million students from primary to high school levels in accordance with Official Letter No. 356/SGDDT-GDPT dated January 31, 2021 of the municipal Department of Education and Training.
Under the proposal, schools are required to cooperate with parents to manage and monitor student health for COVID-19 prevention as guided by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the authority of Hanoi.
The municipal People’s Committee asked the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in collaboration with the Department of Health, district-level People’s Committees and relevant units to strictly abide by COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.
