Reviewing the imprints in the cooperation  over the past time, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh emphasized that through commemorative activities, it is necessary to widely disseminate the meaning and special nature of the Vietnam - Laos relationship in general, and Hanoi – Vientiane in particular, to the young generation, so that generations on both sides can nurtur ethe  solidarity between the two peoples and the two countries in the future.

Thanh affirmed that the Party Committee, Government and people of Hanoi appreciate and do their best to build solidarity and special friendship with the Party, State and people of Laos in general, as well as with the Party Committee, Government and people of Vientiane in particular.

Discussing a number of cooperation issues between the two capitals, including the organization of a trade promotion mission of Hanoi to  Vientiane, the plan to support the construction of the headquarters of the Department of Justice and Vientiane Procuracy, Thanh suggested relevant departments and agencies focus on realizing all agreements between the two sides.

Secretary of the Vientiane Party Committee Anouphap Tounalom assessed that the great relationship between the two countries was not only forged and maintained through the war, but such a friendship is now more evident in the peacetime.

Anouphap Tounalom affirmed, Vientiane always strives to promote cooperation relations with Hanoi in a comprehensive manner in all fields.

He expected that the "Vietnam - Laos Year of Solidarity and Friendship 2022" will open a series of events marking the strong friendship and comprehensive partnership between the two countries in the coming time.

Regarding the plan to build the headquarters of the Department of Justice and the Vientiane Prosecutor's Office, Tounalom said that Vientiane is finalizing the design stage and, at the same time, requests all Vientiane departments and branches to actively coordinate with Hanoi agencies to implement the project on time.
