Speaking at the launching ceremony, Minister and Chairman of the Office of the Government Mai Tien Dung emphasized the portal’s important role in building e-government, aiming to connect the Government with people and enterprises.
The Prime Minister assigned the Government Office to take prime responsibility and cooperate with ministries, agencies and localities to roll out the task, Dung added.
The website is expected to create favorable conditions for people and enterprises to carry out online public services, thereby contributing to improving investment and business environment.
According to the Minister, the portal at http://dichvucong.gov.vn will provide information regarding administrative procedures and public services. At the same time, it will ensure inspection and assessment of individuals and enterprises as well as accountability of State agencies.
Initially, it will offer five online public services in all 63 provinces and cities, including issuance of driving licenses, announcement of promotion activities, re-issuance of health insurance cards, the supply of low-voltage and medium-voltage power, and payment of electricity bills.
It will also provide ministerial-level public services, including issuing international driving licenses, registration for promotion activities, granting certificates of origin of goods, and e-tax payment for businesses.
People and enterprises access the address https//dichvucong.gov.vn to log in to all public services at ministerial and provincial level and carry out online public services, monitor the settlement of services, assess the quality of administrative settlement and send feedback.
The website is estimated to help the State save more than VND 4.2 billion (US$ 182,000) per year.
At the ceremony, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and representatives of ministries, agencies and localities kicked off the national public service portal.
Later, leaders of ministries, agencies and localities signed an electronic agreement to develop the portal in service of the people and businesses.
Addressing the event, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed the launch of the portal is an important step in building the e-government, realizing the people-centered and enterprise-centered approach.
