Athletes completes final round of the 46th Hanoi Moi Newspaper - Run for Peace (21:23 30/09/2019)


HNP - Nearly 1,500 athletes took part in the final round of the 46th annual Open Hanoi Moi (New Hanoi) Newspaper Run Tournament on September 29. Ngo Van Quy, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the 46th Hanoi Moi Newspaper - Run for Peace attended the event.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy emphasized that the annual event has drawn a large number of people in response to the call “All the people practice physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho”.

The 46th Hanoi Moi Newspaper - Run for Peace is among activities to mark the 65th anniversary of the Capital’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954-2019) and the 20th anniversary of Hanoi’s recognition as “City for Peace”.
 
This year’s race attracted approximately 1,500 athletes, including amateur runners from schools, universities, enterprises and foreigners. Notably, 160 professional competitors from 23 teams throughout the countries also joined the event. 
 
Do Quoc Luat and Pham Thi Hue were crowned winners of the 46th Hanoi Moi Newspaper – Run for Peace.
