Following the meeting, the "Enterprises paying tribute to consumers" week will take place from March 17 to 23, 2019 at 70 trading venues throughout Ha Noi, offering gifts, discounts, warranty support and product maintenance services for consumers.

In addition to gratitude activities for consumers, Viet Nam’s Consumer Rights Day 2019 also focuses on promoting communication and law dissemination to consumers in the capital city, especially high school students, who are the future consumer class that are gradually shaping their shopping behavior.
Especially, during March and April, a series of activities will be held, such as a seminar to raise the sense of responsibility of enterprises in business operation so as to ensure legitimate rights for consumers; training courses on Law on Protection of Consumers' Rights, among others.
The Organizing Board presents flowers to sponsors for the program.
Addressing the event, Nguyen Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, stressed that consumer protection is the protection of the entire society, as every citizen is a consumer.
In fact, although the Consumer Protection Law has been issued for many years and disseminated widely, a large number of consumers have not been aware of their legitimate rights, which are protected by law, he noted.
He suggested the Organizing Board strengthen communication on digital channels or website www.quyennguoitieudunghanoi.vn and fanpage “Action for consumer rights”.
The day aims to affirm the role, position and importance of protecting consumers' rights along with stable and sustainable development of the economy and society.
