The event saw the attendance of Nguyen Lan Huong, Chairwoman of the Ha Noi Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Municipal Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization and Chairwoman of the Ha Noi Union of Friendship Organizations, leaders of the city’s departments and sectors, ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic agencies, international organizations and friendship associations in Ha Noi.
Speaking at the event, HAUFO Chairwoman Nguyen Lan Huong affirmed that the program has become an annual people-to-people exchange activity for many years. It is not only a significant occasion to promote Vietnamese cultural values to foreign friends who are living in Viet Nam but also a chance to foster friendship and mutual understanding between Vietnamese people and international friends.

According to Nguyen Lan Huong, Ha Noi has always made effort to intensify exchanges and cooperation with countries in the world.
After 20 years since being awarded the title “City for Peace” by UNESCO, Ha Noi has paid special attention to conserving and promoting the noble title, while striving for a peaceful world, she stressed.
She expected that event will bring interesting cultural experiences to international friends as well as promote the hospitability of Vietnamese people and open up numerous cooperation opportunities for Ba Vi district in the coming time.
Venezuelan Ambassador to Viet Nam Jorge Rondon Uzcategui thanked the Ha Noi Union of Friendship Organizations, the Department of Tourism, and Ba Vi district for their warm welcome.
He appreciated the HAUFO’s initiatives in organizing a wide range of activities to foster the solidarity and cooperation between the people of Viet Nam and the peoples of countries around the world.
He expressed his belief that the activities will contribute to elevating the status of Viet Nam in the eyes of international friends.
