Working with officials from the Moscow City Duma on October 19th, Vice Chairwoman Phung Thi Hong Ha informed Ha Nois’ socio-economic development, its potentials and advantages as well as operations of People’s Councils at all levels.
Zubrilin Nikola Griforievich, Moscow City Duma deputy and member of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) gave brief information of operations of the Moscow City Duma as well as the structure of the CPRF members in the Duma.
At the meeting, both sides discussed and agreed to enhance the exchange of high-level delegations between the two capital cities, intensify the sharing of experiences in administration leadership, planning management and urban development, preservation and promotion of cultural and historical heritage values in association with tourism development.
Vice Chairman Phung Thi Hong Ha expressed her wish that Moscow will create favourable conditions for people and enterprises of Ha Noi in particular and Viet Nam in general living and working in Russia.
The delegation has a working session with Vietnamese Embassy in Russia.
The delegation also had a working session with the Moscow’s Department for External Economic and International Relations on orientations and processes of the Moscow House project in Ha Noi. Accordingly, the two sides agreed to speed up the survey progress, investment project model and management work to carry out the project as soon as possible.
Tran Duc Hoat, Chairman of the Nam Tu Liem district People’s Committee, member of the delegation, said that the district will be willing and pledged to support best the deployment of the project in the area.
Visiting the Vietnamese Embassy, the Ha Noi-Moscow Centre for Culture, Trade and Hotels, the Ha Noi delegation proposed the Embassy and its members to continue supporting for Vietnamese people living and studying in the Russian Federation; enhancing the solidarity to build a developing Vietnamese community; and expanding positive activities towards their homeland.

During its stay in Russia, the delegation also visited the Red Square, and the Lenin Mausoleum, learnt about the operation of the Moscow Traffic Management Centre; made surveys of tourism conservation and development at several cultural and historical relic sites in the Russian capital city.
Before leaving Russia, on a journey by modern high-speed train system, the delegation visited and explored the model of urban government in St Petersburg.
• On October 26th, paying a working visit to Prague Capital – the Czech Republic, the Ha Noi delegation held talks with Prague city’s leaders. The two sides exchanged and learned experiences on the electoral task between the two cities’ councils; exchanged experiences on urban management, planning in association with the preservation of cultural and historical heritage values, public transport development, education, healthcare and so on.
They also agreed to intensify cultural, political and economic exchange activities towards the signing of specific cooperative programs between the two capital cities, basing on traditional relationship.
At the session, Vice Chairwoman of the Municipal People’s Council Phung Thi Hong Ha highlighted results of official visits to the Czech Republic paid by Ha Noi’s leaders.
The delegation works with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic.
In Prague, the delegation visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic. According to Ambassador Ho Minh Tuan, Ha Noi and Prague have many similarities, such as long history, numerous famous historical and cultural buildings. Currently, there are nearly 70,000 Vietnamese people living and working in the Czech Republic.
The Ambassador committed to supporting, promoting cooperative programs between Ha Noi and Prague while creating favorable conditions to intensify cultural exchange activities and diplomatic delegations between the two capital cities.
