7th Congress of the Ha Noi Students’ Association holds a session (22:10 26/10/2018)

HNP – The 7th Congress of the Ha Noi Students’ Association for the 2018-2023 tenure held an official session at the Ha Noi Youth Palace on October 24th.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang presents a gift to the Association.

The event was attended by former President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee and former Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee Pham The Duyet; alternate member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and President of the Viet Nam Students' Association Le Quoc Phong.

Among Ha Noi’s leaders were Ngo Thi Thanh Hang, PCC member and Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee; Ngo Thi Doan Thanh, former PCC member, former Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and former Chairwoman of the Municipal People’s Council; and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan.

Giving a report at the congress, Chu Hong Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Ha Noi Youth Union and President of the Municipal Students’ Association affirmed that over the past five years, following the directions of the Municipal Party Committee and the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Students’ Association as well as promoting the tradition of student generations, the Municipal Students’ Association has positively renewed contents and operational ways and made strong changes in the task and movement.

Associations at all levels have launched many emulation movements and action programs attracting various students, such as Entrance Exam Season Support Program, Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, etc.

Especially, the Association has enhanced the start-up movement among members, helping students to enrich their start-up knowledge and skills as well as arouse passion and determination to start their businesses.

Addressing the event, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang lauded the gained achievements and significant contributions over the past term.

She congratulated comrades elected to the Executive Committee and the Secretariat of the Municipal Student Union.

She also asked the Association to synchronously and comprehensively implement 10 targets, 3 mission and solution groups and 2 breakthroughs as reported while bringing into full play the solidarity, dynamics, and creativity.


Furthermore, the Association should research and launch action programs and movements  practically and effectively to draw the participation of various students; enhance start-up movement among young people; have more contributions to building new style rural areas, urban civilization, environmental sanitation, traffic culture and smart city associated with students’ movements and Program 04 of the Municipal Party’s Committee on enhancing socio-economic development, improving the Capital’s human resources and building elegant, civilized Hanoians, she noted.


Emphasizing that students’ key mission is to study, research scientific works and enrich knowledge and skills for start their careers, Permanent Deputy Secretary Ngo Thi Thanh Hang urged the Student’s Association to promote its major role as well as recommend the Central’s ministries, sectors, Party Committees and leaders of university, academies and colleges to create favorable conditions for students; enhance exchanges with students from countries in the region and the world.

She asked Party Committees, authorities, Fatherland Front Committees at all levels to pay special attention to creating favorable conditions and giving assistance to students.
