The festival features cultural spaces of traditional craft villages in association with outstanding Ha Noi food such as Thanh Tri steamed roll rice pancakes, Vong and Me Tri green rice flakes, Uoc Le pork pies, Quan Ganh rice cakes, , Ha Noi Pho, etc.
The event helps participants understand more the establishment and development of traditional crafts.
The Organizing Board hands over certificates to artisans.
Visitors will have a chance to exchange with artisans on Ha Noi cuisine, and enjoy food cooked in traditional ways.
A photo exhibition introduces civilized and elegant conduct of Hanoians as well as memories of history of culture in general and Ha Noi cuisine in particular.
Additionally, a series of cultural activities and traditional folk games are held, helping tourists better understand the value of Ha Noi cuisine.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy emphasized that the Ha Noi Food Culture Festival 2018 is a special event, contributing to introducing and conserving the values of Ha Noi cuisine.
He called for visitors to implement the code of conduct in public areas in the capital so as to promote Hanoians’ subtlety, elegance, and friendliness.
The Organizing Board hoped that the event will contribute to promoting tourism in Ha Noi in particular and Viet Nam in general.
The festival will last until October 14th, 2018.
