The event drew the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Transport, the Department of Transport, the city’s departments, sectors and units in charge of e-ticket project.
As a key unit in public transport, over the past time, the Transerco has positively cooperated with Telecoms Group Viettel and Nhat Cuong Company to build a project on e-tickets for public passenger transport services in Ha Noi. The Municipal People’s Committee assigned the Transerco to take prime responsibility to set up e-tickets for BRT lines and subsidized bus routes which are capable of integrating with urban railways in future.
Units built and reported a pilot BRT e-ticket project to the Municipal People’s Committee and the Department of Transport. Accordingly, passengers using daily and monthly bus tickets for a single route will be eligible for the e-ticket. Those who use multi-ride tickets will be supplied with an automatic entrance paper ticket with a QR code to get through the card readers.
Additionally, units installed 23 bus stops (control gate system, security cameras, ticket selling machines and internet services, e-ticket software and passenger management databases). Meanwhile, the Departments of Transport, Finance and Taxation will be responsible for approving ticket forms and processes of e – ticket issuance and management.

At the launching ceremony, the Transerco leader assigned BRT Company to focus on solutions for effective management and operation of BRT e-ticket system; cooperate with relevant units to better serve local passengers.
