HNP - Ha Noi's leaders joined voters citiwide in exercising a citizen’s right and duty to elect deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all level in the 2016-2021 tenure on May 22.

He highlighted the entire city’s careful preparations for the elections, marked with the active role played by citizens. He expressed his hope that each vorter will make the right choice for the best deputies.

Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung was also among the first voters to cast his ballot at the polling station No. 3 at the Trung Liet Ward of the Dong Da District at 7 AM on May 22.

The city leader said he was happy to discharge his citizenship duty and stressed the the purpose, significance and importance of the election. He noted his hope that voters nationwide will select the most competent and virtuous deputies who can represent their will, aspirations and right to mastery.

On the same day, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Dao Duc Toan joined voters at polling station No. 2, Phan Chu Trinh Ward, Hoan Kiem District to exercise his citizen rights.

May 22 Election Day marks the first time people in custody have been able to vote thanks to a change of law last year.

The election provides an opportunity for the people to exercise their citizen rights and duties as well as strengthen the law-governed socialist State of the people, by the people, for the people. It reflects the people’s strong will, aspirations and right to mastery in building the State and representative organs from the grassroots to the central level. The event will last till 7 PM the same day.
