The event saw the attendance of Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai; General Phung Quang Thanh, former Politburo member and former Minister of National Defense; Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung, among others.

According to Director of Municipal Department of Transport Vu Van Viet, the Le Trong Tan Street expansion project had total cost of over VND220 billion. The road has 1,500m long, 30m wide.

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman Chung praised the efforts by the Department of Transport, the People's Committee of Thanh Xuan District, relevant departments, sectors, units, investor, and contractors to complete this infrastructure project on schedule, ensuring quality and requirements.

The Le Trong Tan Street expansion project started on January 9, 2015 and completed after 118 days of construction, he added.

The expansion of road is expected to reduce traffic congestion in the city.
