Hanoi identifies priorities in judicial reforms (11:06 16/07/2020)


HNP - Hanoi Party Committee has recently issued report No.87-BC/BCD regarding the result of the judicial reforms in the first six months of the year, as well as the targets for the second half. 


In the first six months, the Steering Committee on Judicial Reform under the municipal Party committee have been focusing on reforming the judicial procedures, aiming to ensure efficiency and fairness during the investigation and trial processes.
 
Additionally, there have been major cases brought to trial and received positive responses from the public. 
 
Specifically, the rate of criminal cases brought to trial reached 99.95%, 2.95% higher than the target; and the rate of resolving complaints under the jurisdiction of the Procuracy at 93.7%, 13.7% higher than the target; the rate of recommendation from the Procuracy accepted by other government agencies at 87.6%, higher than the target of over 80%. 
 
Many major criminal and complicated cases, especially corruption ones, have been brought to trial in a timely manner, which are supported by the public. 
 
From now on until the end of the year, Hanoi Party Committee identified 10 objectives and priorities for judicial reform, while pushing for greater promotion of the sense of compliance of regulations and laws among administrative units and government agencies. 
 
The municipal Party Committee would continue to streamline the organization; keep training and enhancing capacities for staffs; pushing for administrative reform and IT application in the operation of judicial agencies in the city.
