Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen affirmed that, with the good meaning of honoring and exploiting the national Ao Dai, which is among the country’s unique tourism products, the festival is an activity connecting Hanoi tourism with those in the three regions of North - Central – South.
In this regard, Quyen said Hanoi wishes to join Hue and Ho Chi Minh City to continue writing the story of Ao Dai as a "Tourism Ambassador".

The Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2022 is one of the capital's two typical tourism events this year, closing 2022 with many efforts to restore tourism activities and open a bright and vibrant door to a new year of 2023.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet assessed that as one of the country's major tourism centers, Hanoi makes an important contribution to the recovery and development of the tourism industry. The Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival 2022 is an attractive event that attracts the attention of many residents and visitors, and will be one of the hallmarks of Hanoi tourism after the Covid-19 pandemic.
The opening program was elaborately and attractively choreographed with a special art program, many songs about Hanoi and praising the beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai.
In addition, the audience also watched the performance of the North - Central - South Ao Dai with the participation of designers: Ao Dai artisans Lan Huong, Xuan Thu, Viet Bao, Nam Tuyen, Quang Hoa, and Ha Duy, and famous Ao Dai brands of Huong Queen, OZ Design House, Kien Anh, among others.
The Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival 2022 will be held from December 2 to 4 at the walking space in and around Hoan Kiem Lake. Within the framework of the Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival, there are many interesting activities: exhibition of 50 stalls featuring Ao Dai products from 3 regions, tourism products from travel agencies, airlines, Ao Dai accessories made by artisans from Hanoi's craft villages.
The highlight of the event was the parade and presentation of Ao Dai by nearly 1000 people, which took place on December 3 and 4 by the Hanoi Women's Union, the Hanoi Youth Union in collaboration with the Hanoi Department of Tourism.
At the closing ceremony of the event to be held on December 4, the Organizing Committee will present awards for winners of the creative contest to design Ao Dai; winning booths; winning design of tourism products and tourism photos in Hanoi in 2022; at the same time, it launched a logo design contest for the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival.
