This is the 5th year in a row that the Hanoi Party Committee held the press prize on cultural development and promoting elegant and civilized Hanoi people.

The journalism award is attracting more and more press agencies, journalists from the central level, Hanoi and other provinces and cities with the number and quality of works improved year by year, affirming the significance and necessity of the press prize to address cultural development problems of Hanoi.

This year, the award continues to attract the attention and response of a large number of reporters and press agencies. The Organizing Committee received 265 entries from 40 press agencies, including 96 from print press, 113 from electronic newspapers, 17 radio works, and 39 television works.

With the spirit of objectivity, fairness and high responsibility, the Judging Council unanimously voted for 2 excellent press agencies and 33 best journalistic works to award. In which, there are 3 A prizes, 5 B prizes, 10 C prizes, 15 Consolation prizes. The results show the love and spirit of serious, creative work and responsibility of journalists to Hanoi.

According to the evaluation of the Judging Council, this year, the journalistic works submitted to the competition have been richer, more diverse, and more uniform in terms of quality and content. Many submissions have been carefully prepared, adhered to reality, accurately, and timely reflected issues in cultural development, promoting elegant and civilized Hanoi people, created positive spillover effects in society.

At the ceremony, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Editor-in-Chief of the Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh, and Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee gave the  Excellence awards to 02 press agencies that have contributed many high-quality works to the 5th Press Prize on Cultural Development and Promoting civilized and elegant Hanoi people in 2022, including the Center for Television News and Economic & Urban Newspaper.

Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Chu Xuan Dung and Bui Hoai Son, Standing member of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education awarded 10 C Prizes to authors and groups of authors.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam and Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha presented 05 B prizes to authors and groups of authors with winning works.

In particular, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Lai Xuan Mon and Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen presented 03 A prizes to the authors and the group of authors with excellent works that won the A Prize of the Press Prize on Cultural Development and Promoting elegant and civilized Hanoians in 2022.
