Vice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Hau A Lenh and Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee co-chaired the meeting.
At the opening speech, Hau A Lenh said the process of election oversight from the Vietnam Fatherland Front is aimed to identify shortcomings and issues during the process, in turn proposing recommendations for competent authorities to ensure fair, safe and transparent elections.
In order to enhance efficiency in the supervision process, Hau A Lenh requested the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to strictly follow policies of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the government regarding election, as well as instruction from the National Election Committee and other related agencies.
Meanwhile, the supervision process must include close cooperation with the Election Committees at various levels, while promoting public participation. Supervision delegations from the Vietnam Fatherland Front should avoid overlapping in terms of timing, and locations.
During the supervision process, any violations found should be promptly reported back to competent authorities for resolving substantially.
According to Hau A Lenh, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front plays a key role during the election process, requesting efficient supervision process in actual practice and refraining from causing inconvenience for organizations and individuals.
