Vietnam Bank of Social Policies - Hanoi branch to ensure meeting capital demand of customers (07:55 15/01/2021)
As of December 31, 2020, total working capital of the Vietnam Bank of Social Polices - Hanoi branch reached VND10.24 trillion, up VND1.73 trillion against 2019, in which funds allocated from central government stood at VND4.35 trillion, up VND221 billion and those from the city via trust fund was estimated at VND4.11 trillion, up VND1.15 trillion.
Meanwhile, capital mobilized from people, organizations and savings stood at VND1.73 trillion, up VND361 billion against 2019, exceeding 100% of the target for 2020.
In 2020, over 14,000 poor households, near poor households and social beneficiaries in Hanoi were able to get loans from the Vietnam Bank of Social Polices - Hanoi branch, while 48,000 local people found employment via loan programs from the bank.
In 2020, the Hanoi People’s Committee transferred funds worth VND661 billion to the Vietnam Bank of Social Polices - Hanoi branch to help support people and businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. As of December 31, 2020, the total outstanding loans stood at VND650 billion with 14,118 customers.
Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Xuan Dung highlighted the efforts of the Vietnam Bank of Social Polices - Hanoi branch over the years, expecting the lender to continue providing loans for people, especially social beneficiaries.
The bank should also propose more measures to provide loans and meet capital needs of poor households and social beneficiaries.
Dung requested related agencies and units to continue providing funds for the Vietnam Bank of Social Polices - Hanoi branch via trust fund in the 2021-25 period.
