The event is set to take place from November 21 - 25 at Bic C Thang Long super market with 16 booths that introduce major goods and products from enterprises, cooperatives of Lao Cai such as Muong Khuong tangerine, Seng Cu rice, Muong Khuong chili sauce, honey, dried buffalo meat, black sticky rice cake, wines, and other products under the one commune one product (OCOP) program of Lao Cai province, among others.
Vice Director of Lao Cai province’s Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Truong Giang said the weather condition in Lao Cai is favorable to for farm production with high economic value, including Seng Cu rice, artichoke, Tuyet san tea, tropical fruits, and fish, among others.
Notably, the province has 650 hectares for tangerine planting, including 200 hectares under the Vietgap practice, resulting in a productivity of 120 quintal per hectare that bring high value for farmers.
Giang said this is the first time that a Week of Muong Khuong tangerine and other agricultural products of Lao Cao is held in Hanoi, which is aimed to introduce Lao Cai’s agricultural products and Muong Khuong tangerine to Hanoi’s people, while forming sustainable cooperation mechanism between producers and suppliers.
This would create condition for Lao Cai enterprises to expand their markets in Hanoi and establish new value chains.
During the Good Week, there would be a signing of memorandum of understanding for goods distribution between Big C Super market and other agencies of Lao Cai as well as exhibition to promote and sell products from November 21 - 25.
