The Hanoi Agriculture Fair 2020 is set to take place from November 19 - 23 with the participation of 80 enterprises and 100 booths of agricultural products, processed food, products under the one commune, one product (OCOP) program with high quality and at reasonable prices.
At the launching ceremony, Vice Director of Hanoi Promotion Agency Nguyen Thi Mai Anh said the Hanoi Agriculture Fair 2020 is an opportunity for local enterprises to search for potential partnership with Japan’s Aeon Vietnam. The fair was previously held twice at the Aeon Long Bien shopping mall, which have received positive response from enterprises who were keen on promoting trade and created conditions for local enterprises to enhance capacity and reach for major distributors.
Moreover, the Hanoi Agriculture Fair 2020 is one of Hanoi’s major event in promoting trade and boosting domestic consumption, and it is under the cooperation program between the city and Aeon to support local enterprises cooperating with the distribution channel of Aeon in Vietnam and in other countries.
In addition to opportunity for cooperation between enterprises, visitors could also shop through the website of the event in nongsanantoanhanoi.gov.vn. To date the number of visitors of the site has gone up to over one million with hundreds of transactions.
General Director of Aeon TopValu Vietnam Shiotani Yuichiro said two weeks ago, a similar fair was organized successfully at Aeon Mall Long Bien. During the complicated situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, this showed the efforts of Hanoi’s authorities in boosting domestic consumption and speedy economic recovery.
Yuichiro added the cooperation relations between the Vietnamese government, Hanoi’s authority and Aeon have been going strong that directly contribute to raise living standard of the local people.
Under the cooperation program among the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Hanoi People’s Committee and Aeon, the Japanese retailer targets to help Vietnam export goods worth US$500 million in 2020 and US$1 billion by 2025 via its distribution network.
