Hanoi strives to maintain its top spot nationwide in training and education quality (16:08 19/11/2020)
On behalf of the city’s leaders, Vice Permanent Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen sent her best wishes to all the staffs at the municipal Department of Education and Training, as well as teachers of Hanoi’s education sector on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day.
Tuyen highlighted the efforts of the Department regarding the target of improving the quality of Hanoi’s education and training activities. During the 2015 - 2020 period, Hanoi has fulfilled three out of 19 criteria three years ahead of schedule, in which the Department contributed one criterion in the building of schools at national standard.
Additionally, the Department has been key in helping the city to remain at top of the country in terms of providing educational quality and the number of students having national and international prizes.
With over 2 million students, the Department has huge responsibility in keeping up the quality in training and educating the next generation, Tuyen said, requestingthe Department to continue taking the city’s education sector to a new height, including developing teachers of high quality, nurturing students and boosting scientific development.
According to Tuyen, these efforts would help Hanoi maintain its top spot in the country in terms of training and education, science and technology.
Director of Hanoi’s Department of Education and Training Chu Xuan Dung thanked the support of the city’s leaders, saying the Department is committed to enhancing the quality of education and training in Hanoi.
