With theme “Heritage now, Fly now”, the forum is scheduled to take place in two days from November 27 - 28 in Quang Nam province, with the participation of government’s leaders, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as well as related government agencies, tourism associations and travel agencies, among others.
The forum on development of tourism linkages among Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Vietnam Key Economic Region marks a new development in the cooperation between provinces/cities regarding boosting tourism.
The forum would focus on four major topics, including the state management on tourism; developing human resources for the sector; developing tourism products; and tourist promotion.
At the forum, there would be a signing of memorandum of understanding for tourism development among the leaders of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet, Bamboo Airways and tourism associations from seven provinces/cities.
Additionally, there would be online discussion to seek suggestion for tourism development; a Business Matching event for enterprises to look for potential partners; welcoming first tourists coming to tourism linkage program between provinces/cities; exhibition of new tourism products and specialties.
According to the organizers, as the Covid-19 pandemic is causing severe impacts on the tourism sector, cooperation to boost tourism is an effective solution to promote travel destination and domestic tourism, which could also be a key step in preparing for the returning of foreign tourists in the future.
