VFF’s Hanoi chapter receives over VND14 billion to support flood-hit residents in central region (21:46 27/10/2020)

HNP - The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s Hanoi chapter on October 27 received donations in cash and in kind worth over VND14 billion (roughly US$608,700) from 37 units to support flood victims in the central region.

Among units making donations included North Tu Liem District’s administration with more than VND2.8 billion (over US$121,700); the Hanoi Youth Union with more than VND2.5 billion (over US$108,000) in cash and necessities worth VND1.3 billion (around US$56,500); Cau Giay and Thanh Tri districts each with VND1 billion (nearly US$43,500), and others. 
The VFF’s Hanoi chapter has received the support totaling over VND47.5 billion (over US$2.06 million) since October 13. 
Hanoi has so far donated VND9 billion (over US$391,000) to hardest hit localities. Additionally, the Department of Public Security has raised VND4.1 billion to help flood victims in the central region.
Especially, the chapter in collaboration with Vietnam Payment Solution Joint Stock Company (VNPAY) and the Department of Information and Communications has offered the QR code payment service  to facilitate donation via QR code.
