Over the past 12 years, the Ordinance on Defense Industry has created a legal framework for Hanoi to promote defense industry, as well as helping the municipal Party Committee and People’s Committee to manage industrial companies.
While the majority of industrial companies in Hanoi are of small and medium sized, they have fully complied with the Ordinance on Defense Industry.
Some have been focusing on investing in the production chain, technologies, product quality and expanding cooperation with both domestic and foreign companies, in turn increasing income for employees and encouraging them to prepare for any situation.
Industrial companies have closely cooperated with each other to carry out production activities to support the army.
To further carry out the Ordinance on Defense Industry effectively, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Le Hong Son requested enterprises operating in the defense industry to actively upgrade their technologies and production chain to produce and repair weapons for the army in the coming time.
During this process, Son expected local authorities to provide the utmost support in terms of land, environment and security for enterprises to carry out their tasks.
At the event, Hanoi People’s Committee has acknowledged the outstanding contribution of 10 groups and 6 individuals during the 12 years of implementing the Ordinance on Defense Industry.
