Party, State leader meets Hanoi voters (08:37 15/10/2020)


HNP - Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong and National Assembly Deputies of Hanoi held a meeting with voters at Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh and Tay Ho districts  on October 14, ahead of the upcoming sitting of the National Assembly.

At the meeting, voters expressed their delight at the successful conclusion of the 17th Party congress of Hanoi for the 2021 - 2025 period. 
 
Voters from Hoan Kiem district requested the National Assembly to issue stricter penalties to  lawbreakers, while those from Ba Dinh district expected the Party and the government to step up efforts against corruption and improve the living standards of the people. 
 
Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh said right after the Party Congress, Hanoi Party Committee is committed to turning resolution from the Party Congress into action for stronger development of Hanoi and meeting the expectation of the Party and government leaders. 
 
Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong expected Hanoi to further develop in the next term, adding the capital city is facing unprecedented opportunity for growth, especially at a time when Vietnam is at its best conditions. 
 
Trong also pointed out the challenges that Hanoi is facing, including environmental pollution and other issues related to the rapid urbanization process. 
 
According to Trong, right after the conclusion of the 17th Party Congress, Hanoi should put into motion plan to realize Hanoi’s potential and advantages, so as for the city to deserve being the country’s center for economy, politics, culture, and foreign affairs.
