The event saw the attendance of Dao Duc Toan, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee; Nguyen Lan Huong, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Hanoi chapter; Hoang Trong Quyet, Head of the municipal Party Committee’s Inspection Commission; Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Head of the municipal Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Standing Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Council; Nguyen Quang Duc, Head of the municipal Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Commission; and Nguyen Doan Toan, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, among others.
According to a report presented by head of the municipal Commission for Mass Mobilization Nguyen Thi Tuyen, in realizing Conclusion No. 114-KL/TW, the municipal Party Committee has issued a series of guiding documents.
They included Decision No. 2034-QD/TU regarding the issuance of mass mobilization regulations of the Hanoi’s political system; Decision No. 6525-QD/TU regarding the regulations on acknowledging opinions of Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and people on building the Party and government in Hanoi; Decision No. 2200-QD/TU on promulgating regulations on face to face meeting and dialogue between heads of Party committees and authorities at all levels with the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and people in Hanoi, and others.
In an effort to improve the quality of mass mobilization work in state agencies, the Party Board of the municipal People’s Committee has signed a coordination program with the municipal Commission for Mass Mobilization for the 2016-2020 period, with the emphasis on enhancing administrative reform, improving the behavior of civil servants and ensuring professionalism and transparency while performing their duties, and dealing with complaints and denunciations.
Over the past five years, Hanoi has boosted the application of information technology and reform of administrative procedures. So far, the city’s agencies have provided a total 1,448 public services online at stage of 3&4, accounting for 80%.
Especially, the city has issued the code of conduct for officials and civil servants, with a set of rules that outline social standards, responsibility and proper practice for all civil servants and public employees. During the five-year period, local administrative bodies have received and settled a total of 17,221 complaints and denunciations.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Doan Toan praised the mass mobilization sector for its effort in successfully fulfilling tasks, significantly contributing to realizing the city’s socio-economic development targets.
He said, in the time ahead, the municipal People’s Committee would continue to improve the efficiency of administrative reform and build a transparent and effective administrative apparatus, while closely working with the Fatherland Front and organizations in mass mobilization to encourage local residents to jointly build the Party and government in strong and pure manner.
The city would also enhance the efficiency of citizen reception, timely deal with pressing issues, and promote patriotic emulation movements, especially the “Good Mass Mobilization” emulation movement, Toan added.
Making conclusion at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Dao Duc Toan lauded the achievements attained by the mass mobilization system over the past years.
On behalf of the city leaders, Toan thanked the mass mobilization staff for their contributions to the city’s development.
Also, Toan highly spoke of the role of mass mobilization work in creating the consensus among the people to fulfill the city’s political missions.
On the occasion, the municipal Party Committee’s Standing Board and the municipal People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals for their outstanding achievements in executing the conclusion.
