The event saw the attendance of deputy head of the PCC’s Disciplinary Control Commission Hoang Van Tra; PCC member, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang; PCC member, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Chu Ngoc Anh; Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc; Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Dao Duc Toan, along with leaders of the city’s entities and localities.
Giving a report at the event, head of the municipal Party Committee’s Inspection Commission Hoang Trong Quyet said that over the past tenure, Party organizations at all levels have upheld their role and responsibility in performing supervision work in accordance with Article 30 in the Statute of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and regarded it as a regular mission.
The inspections have been in line with the political missions and the Party building work in localities and units, he added.
Quyet said that his agency has realized coordination regulations with 19 bodies in effective manner so as to improve the efficiency of the Party’s inspection, supervision and disciplinary enforcement.
According to him, over the past five years, all-level Party organizations have inspected a total of 9,810 Party cells with 4,309 members, and monitored 4,786 others with 3,900 ones.
Especially, the city has established 54 inspection teams and 19 supervision groups to conduct 296 inspections on Party organizations at district level. Via the inspections, the city has made decisions on disciplinary measures for 59 local Party organization and 3,171 members.
Most inspections have been conducted on burning issues such as land, finance, investment projects, administrative reform, and personnel work, among others, the official emphasized, noting that the inspection has contributed to preventing and pushing back the deterioration in political ideology, morality and lifestyle of public officials and Party members, especially key leaders at all levels.
Speaking at the conference, deputy head of the PCC’s Inspection Commission Hoang Van Tra acknowledged many positive changes by the municipal Party Committee in inspection and supervision work during the tenure.
He noted, for the next term, Hanoi should raise Party organizations’ awareness about the task, enhance specialized inspection in high-risk areas and make public the conclusions.
Making conclusion at the event, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue highly appreciated the achievements by Party organizations at all levels in carrying out inspection task for the tenure of 2015-2020.
He pointed out several shortcomings and weaknesses in the Party’s inspection work over the past term.
Concerning specific issues, Hue asked all Party organizations to create strong changes in their awareness and responsibility for the Party's inspection and supervision, and constantly promote self-criticism and criticism among Party officials and member, aiming to prevent degradation of political ideology, morals and lifestyles; prevent "self-evolution", and manifestations of "self-transformation" and "self-evolution" within the Party.
He also requested the heads of Party committees at all levels to take responsibility for the work in localities.
Every Party organization and inspection commission was told to strictly implement annual inspection and supervision plans, and keep an eye on monitor members.
In preparation for Hanoi’s upcoming Party congress which is scheduled to be held from October 11-13, Hue asked the municipal Inspection Commission and its subordinate agencies to deal with all complaints and denunciations related to personnel work.
At the conference, the municipal Party’s Standing Board presented certificates of merit to outstanding collectives and individuals.
