Hanoi mayor encourages candidates on the first day of the high school graduation exam (19:38 09/08/2020)
Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung inspected and encouraged candidates at the test venue of Phan Dinh Phung High School in Ba Dinh District.
According to Director of Department of Education and Training Chu Xuan Dung, in this test venue, there are 28 test rooms for 681 candidates and 94 officials and teachers serving as examiners.
Three students returning from coronavirus-hit areas took the exam in a separate exam room so as to ensure safety for all students and staffs in the exam.
According to Pham Thi Diem, Vice Chairwoman of Ba Dinh District People’s Committee, the district arranged four test venues with 106 test rooms for more than 2,500 students. The task forces were established to ensure safety for the people at the venue.
At test rooms, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung encouraged the candidates to stay calm and wished them to pass the exam in the midst of COVID-19.
He also praised the effort of relevant parties in preparing thoroughly for the exam.
Chung asked to strictly follow COVID-19 prevention and control measures at the test venues, such as measuring body temperature, sanitizing hands, wearing face masks, among others.
The test rooms are required to be cleaned and disinfected after each exam in order to ensure safety for the next one.
Especially, Chung ordered security forces to take strong measures to ensure safety for the test venues and minimize exam fraud activities.
• On the same morning, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy, who is the head of the Steering Committee for Hanoi’s High School Graduation Exam in 2020, inspected the test venue of Khuong Trung Secondary School in Thanh Xuan District and encouraged the candidates here.
