Hanoi resumes operation of Covid-19 Steering Committee and task forces (16:33 30/07/2020)


HNP - In face of complicated progression of the Covid-19 pandemic, Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung requested all departments, units, districts and wards to resume the operation of the Steering Committee and tasks forces against the Covid-19. 



At a meeting on July 29, Chung requested local authorities at districts and wards to promptly implement anti-Covid-19 measures similar to the previous phases. 
 
Additionally, leaders of districts and wards upon receiving request to identify the information of suspected Covid-19 infections are expected to act immediately without having to report to higher authorities. 
 
The Department of Health, hospitals and health stations are requested to adopt Covid-19 preventive measures against the Covid-19 pandemic and other diseases. 
 
The Department of Training and Education is requested to prepare all safety measures to ensure the smooth implementation of the 10th grade entrance exam; reviewing students going to Danang, Quang Nam and Hue from July 1 to date. 
 
“During this pandemic, students are our utmost priority as the city currently has over 2.2 million students,” Chung stressed. 
 
In another move, Chung requested local agencies to speed up the site clearance processes to hand over clear site for contractors, a key step to accelerate the disbursement of public investment. 
 
The mayor also  assigned the Department of Culture and Sports to prepare for the celebration of 1010th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi, and the 90th anniversary of the traditional day of Vietnam Fatherland Front. 
 
In order to prepare for the hosting of Seagames 31 and Paragames 11, the Department needs to work with related authorities to repair and maintain athlete villages.
