Hanoi launches a communication program on implementing code of conduct in public places (19:25 29/06/2020)
The event is part of the program titled “Promoting Hanoi cultural and tourism destinations 2020”, with the aim to stimulate domestic travel.
A wide range of attractive activities were held at the launching ceremony, such as a contest on understanding of code of conduct in public places, a photo exhibition featuring Hanoians behaving in a civilized manner, cultural events and art performances, among others.
The highlight of the campaign is the parade, with the participation of 200 vehicles, along walking streets around the Hoan Kiem Lake.
Addressing the event, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Tran Thi Van Anh highlighted Hanoians’ good behaviors over the past time, especially in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
She lauded the positive participation of the municipal authorities as well as the support form the locals which have made great contributions to turning Hanoi into a friendly, safe and attractive destination in the eyes of international tourists.
She described the building of elegant and civilized manner of Hanoians as one of an important tasks stated in Program 04-CTr/TU of the Hanoi Party Committee on “Enhancing socio-cultural development, improving the quality of the capital’s human resources, forming elegant and civilized Hanoians for the period of 2016-2020”.
According to Anh, in a bid to realize the task, the municipal authorities issued the two codes of conduct for civil servants in working places, and for local people in public places.
After the three-year execution, the two codes of conduct have made positive changes in behavior of civil servants, labors and people in the city.
