VFF’s Hanoi Committee leader inspects the preparation for all-level Party assemblies in Long Bien District (15:35 22/02/2020)
According to a report by the district Party Committee, as of February 19, 150 out of 587 Party cells at grassroots level organized their assemblies. Others are scheduled to be held by March 20 at the latest.
At the session, Secretary of the district Party Committee Do Manh Hai pointed out a number of difficulties and problems during the preparation for the district’s assembly.
Addressing the event, VFF’s Hanoi chapter Chairwoman Nguyen Lan Huong highly appreciated the district’s effort in rolling out the tasks.
She asked the local authorities to follow the city’s instructions to successfully organize the assembly while directing the organization of Party assemblies at grassroots level.
Long Bien should disseminate about the assemblies among the locals so as to promote their responsibility in building the Party and government, she urged.
Huong also requested the district to pay special attention to the personnel work for the assembly, and focus on dealing with concerned issues to make the event a success.
• To prevent the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, Long Bien District has established the Steering Committee on prevention and control of acute respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).
The district leaders have directly inspected the disease prevention work at schools, relic sites, markets, bus stations, drugstores and health facilities.
In addition to launching environmental sanitation campaign, Long Bien has set up three mobile teams on disease prevention, disseminated about preventive measures among locals, and encouraged the involvement of private resources in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic.
Making conclusion at the session, VFF’s Hanoi chapter Chairwoman Nguyen Lan Huong acknowledged and praised the district’s drastic participation in combating the respiratory disease.
She requested the district to continue strictly implementing the city’s guiding documents, launching environmental sanitation campaigns, and bringing into full play the role of Fatherland Front local committees, organizations and people in monitoring and detecting Covid-19 infection cases in residential areas.
Besides, Long Bien needs to strengthen the communication of the disease, pay more attention to the poor and those in difficult circumstances, and enhance the prevention of Covid-19 epidemic and other diseases, the Chairwoman noted.
On the occasion, the Hanoi Fatherland Front Committee presented face masks and hand sanitizer to poor households and elderly people in the area.
