At the conference, Chinh highlighted the efforts and responsibilities of professors, doctors, and nurses in providing timely health treatment for senior governmental officials in 2019, while sending his thanks for all staffs and workers in the Central Committee on Health Care for Senior Party Officials.
Chinh, however, requested joint-efforts from all related parties in addressing shortcomings in caring for senior officials’ health, including inefficient treatment, late diagnosis, and low remuneration for professors, doctors and nurses, among others.
Chinh said health is one of the main criteria in selecting senior governmental officials, requiring greater awareness among staffs and doctors in protecting health of officials.
In the coming time, Chinh requested the Committee on Health Care for Senior Officials of the Party Central Committee to improve efficiency in operation and fulfill its objectives.
Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, head of the Committee on Health Care for Senior Officials said in 2019, the operation of the committee has received strong supports from leaders of the Communist Party, the government, as well as cooperation from ministries, government agencies and provinces/cities.
According to Tien, in 2019, the Committee cared for 1,611 senior governmental officials, including 935 at the central level and 676 at provinces/cities.
In 2020, the Committee has set 9 objectives and is determined to strictly follow the instruction of the politburo regarding fields under the administration of the Committee.
