VFF’s Hanoi chapter Chairwoman inspects the Covid-19 prevention in South Tu Liem and Quoc Oai districts (17:09 17/02/2020)

HNP - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s chapter of Hanoi Nguyen Lan Huong worked with districts of South Tu Liem and Quoc Oai on February 16 on prevention and control of acute respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) in the areas. 

The Chairwoman acknowledged and praised the localities’ positive participation in preventing the acute respiratory disease. 
Notably, the districts’ Fatherland Front Committees has coordinated with Party organizations and authorities to carry out communication campaigns to raise public awareness on the epidemic. 
Particularly, South Tu Liem District cleaned and disinfected all offices, schools and My Dinh bus station; spent nearly VND4 billion on coronavirus prevention.
In addition, the district’s Fatherland Front Committee in collaboration with membership organizations has distributed 17,550 face masks, 1,740 bottles of hand sanitiser at My Dinh bus station, offices, wards, markets and schools. Currently, a total of 46 people are isolated for monitoring. 
Meanwhile, in addition to strengthening the communication to raise public awareness, launching environmental sanitation campaigns and disinfecting facilities, Quoc Oai District established emergency phone numbers to receive and handle information about the spread of the nCoV. 
Stressing major mission in the time ahead, comrade Nguyen Lan Huong asked Party organizations, authorities and Fatherland Front Committees of South Tu Liem and Quoc Oai district to strictly implement guiding documents of the central level and the city. 
She urged the two districts to carry out two key tasks, including prevention and control of Covid-19 and preparation for all-level Party assemblies in association with activities to celebrate the 90th founding anniversary of Hanoi Party Committee.
In an effort to help the localities prevent the coronavirus, Chairwoman of the VFF’s Hanoi chapter Nguyen Lan Huong presented 950 medical masks and 950 bottles of hand sanitiser to Elderly's Associations of Cau Dien Ward (South Tu Liem District) and Dong Xuan Commune (Quoc Oai District).
On the same day, Chairwoman Nguyen Lan Huong visited and encouraged Secretary of the Party Committee, and Head of the Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Ben Village Nguyen Van Kich who positively participating in preventing the epidemic.
