The event saw the attendance of Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dao Duc Toan, and Standing Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Van Suu.
Over the past year, the district has enhanced patriotic emulation movements and attained remarkable achievements cross all spheres, making significant contribution to fulfilling socio - economic targets.
Particularly, Quoc Oai fulfilled and surpassed all 200 targets assigned by the city and the district People’s Council. State budget revenue hit over VND 1 trillion (roughly US$ 43.4 million), the highest ever. Per capita income reached VND 50 million (over US$ 2,100). 99% of hamlets were recognized as cultural hamlet status. 58 out of 73 schools met national standards, accounting for 79.45%. All communes fulfilled traffic infrastructure criteria.
Over the past year, the movement “All people join hands to build new style rural areas” has drawn the participation of the whole political system and people. All communes have been recognized as new style rural areas.
Acknowledging the achievements, authorized by the State President, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dao Duc Toan handed over Labor Medal, third class to Party organization, authorities and people of Quoc Oai District.
On the occasion, former Permanent Deputy Secretary of the district Party Committee Nguyen Dat Thuyen received Labor Medal, third class.
The Hanoi People’s Committee also presented emulation flags and certificates of merit to 16 collectives and 14 individuals having great achievements in building new style rural areas.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Dao Duc Toan praised the participation of the whole political system as well as local peoples in the work of building modern rural areas.

Mentioning a number of key tasks, the Deputy Secretary urged the district to strengthen the emulation movement to improve fulfilled targets, call on the positive participation of all-level officials and Party members, and effectively implement the two codes of conduct issued by the city.
He noted Quoc Oai should focus on the preparation for Party assemblies at all levels, mobilize contributions of officials, Party members and people to successfully organize the events, Toan noted.
