In a bid to stabilize prices and combat speculative trading and illicit gains, the Department asked medical facilities, Hanoi Pharmaceutical Association, and pharmaceutical companies to strictly implement Official Letter No. 862/QLD-KD dated January 31, 2020 of the Drug Administration of Vietnam under the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Under the document, Health Departments of provinces and centrally-run cities are responsible for urging medical establishments to carry out the MoH’s instruction at the Announcement No. 105/TB-BYT dated January 30, 2020 on preparing sufficient drugs for epidemic prevention and control.
It is necessary to inspect pharmaceutical companies and strictly punish acts of speculative trading and illicit gains (if any). Meanwhile, hospitals under the MoH are tasked to strictly execute the ministry leader’s instruction at Announcement No. 105/TB-BYT.
The document also underlined the need for facilities manufacturing, trading and importing drugs to learn actual demand, increase supply and draw up drug production and business plans to serve treatment in medical facilities.
District/township People’s Committees ask health station in collaboration with relevant agencies to enhance inspection of medical and pharmaceutical establishments in the area, and strictly handle violation cases (if any).
