The annual Hanoi Gift Show 2019, the eighth of its kind, features 650 booths by 250 domestic and foreign exhibitors.
It is expected to welcome 1,000 handicraft importers and over 10,000 visitors.
Hanoi Gift Show 2019 will keep offering traditional handicrafts to international clients and promote the export and sustainable development of the handicraft industry.
This year, the Organizing Board will organize the “Match and Meet” program with the participation of a thousand handicraft importers and suppliers who will meet to negotiate contracts.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Le Hong Thang said that that the Hanoi Gift Show demonstrates the commitment of Hanoi City in creating the environment for local businesses’ rapid and sustainable development.
The event will be a chance for handicraft producers to introduce their unique handicraft products to international customers.
Thang believed that the show will continue making greater gains in bringing handicraft products of Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general to the world market, and promoting export and sustainable development of Vietnam's handicrafts industry.
The event also features more than 100 new products by domestic and foreign designers, including the winners of a handicraft design contest this year.
Under the framework of the show, an international seminar discussing the sustainable development of handicrafts on the back of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) will also be held, attracting domestic and foreign speakers.
The show takes place form October 17-20 at the National Architectural Planning & Construction Exhibition, no.1 Do Duc Duc Street, North Tu Liem District, Hanoi.
