Hanoi, Chile’s localities boost cooperation (09:53 17/10/2019)


HNP - Member of the Party Central, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang hosted Chilean Ambassador to Vietnam Jaime Andress Chomali Garid on October 14 to boost cooperation between Hanoi and Chile.

In attendance were Head of the Municipal Party Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education Nguyen Van Phong; and Head of the Municipal Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Nguyen Thi Tuyen. 

 

At the reception, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang highlighted the milestones that have made great contributions to enhancing the friendship between Hanoi and Chile. 
 
She said that a high-ranking delegation of Hanoi will pay a working visit to Chile this month with a view to consolidate the collaborative ties between Hanoi and Santiago, Chile’s capital, contributing to realizing cooperative programs between Vietnam and Chile. 
 
Through the visit, Hanoi wishes to intensify cooperation in trade investment promotion, tourism development, cultural exchanges and people-to-people diplomacy, and share experience in conserving cultural heritages with Chilean locality, Hang noted. 
 
According to Hang, Hanoi boasts three world heritage sites recognized by the UNESCO, which are the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature), Giong Festival in districts of Soc Son and Gia Lam. 
 
She said that Hanoi wished to expand cooperation with Chile in the field of cultural heritage conservation in addition to investment, trade, tourism and others that the two sides hold potentials.
 
She took the occasion to express her thanks to the ambassador and the embassy of Chile to Vietnam for their support for Hanoi in executing cooperative contents between Hanoi with Chilean localities. 
 
The city official also wished the diplomat to continue serving as a bridge to promote the linkages between the two sides’ businesses in the fields of agriculture and food processing, cultural exchanges, tourism development, among others. 
 
For his part, Chilean Ambassador to Vietnam Jaime Andress Chomali Garid applauded the upcoming visit of the Hanoi leaders while expressing his impressions on the city’s impressive achievements in cultural and socio-economic development.
 
Welcoming the Hanoi delegation’s upcoming visit, the Chilean ambassador affirmed his willingness to support the event and believed that the visit will open up opportunities for further collaborative ties between Hanoi and Santiago as well as Vietnam and Chile.
