The event saw the attendance of Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue; former Politburo member, former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung; member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung, among others.

Addressing the event, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that to create favorable conditions for enterprises’ development, the city has strengthened administrative reform and information technology application in business activities.
According to him, from 2016 to September of this year, more than 93,000 new enterprises were established in the capital city, up 22.5% against the 2011-2015 period.
He added that Hanoi attracted approximately US$20.28 billion in foreign investment in the same reviewed period, 3.2 times higher than the 2011-2015 period.
Chung also highly appreciated significant contributions made by Hanoi’s business community, particularly SMEs, to the overall development of the capital city, contributing positively to the growth of the country.
Accordingly, the city’s SMEs have contributed more than 30% of the city’s budget revenue and have created jobs for over 50% of people.
They have always been responsible for the community and social affairs while positively taking part in social welfare programs in the city, he underlined.

The Chairman wished the capital’s business community to continue bringing into full play their wisdom, entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity; develop solutions for production and business based on digitization; apply advanced science and technology of the fourth industrial revolution in corporate governance; and catch up with regional and international standards.
On the occasion, nearly 200 representatives of more than 270,000 businesses operating in Hanoi received Labour Orders, and certificates of merit of the Prime Minister and Hanoi People’s Committee.
