The event drew the participation of Hoang Trung Hai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly deputy delegation of Hanoi; Nguyen Lan Huong, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Van Phong, Head of the Municipal Party Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education; Phung Thi Hong Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the Municipal People’s Council, and Ngo Van Quy, Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee.
Speaking at the program, Director of the Hanoi Radio and Television To Quang Phan stressed that the Liberation Day in 1954 was a bright milestone opening a new page in the city’s history.
Over the past 65 years, Hanoi has grown constantly and attained comprehensive achievements, becoming a political, cultural and scientific center of the country.
The program attracted the participation of many well-known artists and singers, such as My Linh, Trong Tan, Khanh Linh, Tan Minh and the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet.
The event featured numerous famous songs and videos highlighting the beauty of Hanoi as well as the arduous and heroic years during the resistance war for national independence.
