The event saw the attendance of member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung; Standing Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan; Head of the Municipal Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Nguyen Thi Tuyen.
Leaders of the city’s entities and HBA as well as representatives for nearly 300 enterprises were also in attendance.
Addressing the event, HBA’s Chairman Nguyen Hong Son said that over the past ten years, the HBA has grown constantly along with social development and international integration.
The HBA’s members have considerably contributed to the economic development, especially job creation while positively responding to campaigns on social welfare and poverty reduction.
HBA’s members have improved their reputation step by step, contributing to promoting the image and increasing the status of the city’s enterprises in international arena.
Son appreciated efforts of entrepreneurs and enterprises to attain the great achievements over the past decade while hailing the support from the Central’s agencies, the National Assembly, Government, ministries and sectors, and the capital city of Hanoi.

According to HBA’s Chairman, from 2020, HBA will organize the Thang Long Entrepreneur Award to honor outstanding enterprises who have great contributions to construction and development of Hanoi. This award will be presented at the Thang Long Entrepreneur Gala program annually.
For the award to be successful, HBA hopes to continue to receive the support from the Hanoi authorities with a view to building a prestigious award for the city’s businesses, Son said.

Speaking at the gala night, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung recognized and thanked the HBA for its great contributions to the development of the country and Hanoi in particular over the past time.
They have significantly contributed to creating job, ensuring social welfare, building new style rural area, and supporting people who suffered from heavy floods, among others, he added.
He affirmed that Hanoi will create the best conditions for enterprises to expand their business activities.
On the occasion, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Hanoi People’s Committee honored and handed over certificates of merit to outstanding individuals making great contributions to the economic development of Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general.
