This is part of the project of upgrading Thanh Nhan Hospital, which has commenced since 2014 with a total investment capital of more than VND665 billion (US$28.5 million).
In August 2018, the Hanoi People's Committee approved the building of three more modern surgery rooms in accordance with European standards.
According to Dr. Dao Quang Minh, Director of Thanh Nhan Hospital, Hybrid surgery room is the first hybrid operating theater in the country to be equipped with an integrated operating room system and an advanced image diagnostic facilities with the most advanced robotic arm.
Moreover, hybrid operating room will help medical interventions easier, time-saving and reduce the risks of infection for patients during the transport of patients from the operating theater to other rooms.
It also allows to perform a variety of complex and high level of specialization procedures in cardiovascular, neuro, and electrophysiology cases.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that Thanh Nhan Hospital was a key medical facility of the city that needed to be invested in advanced techniques and equipment.
Chung took the occasion to urge Department of Health, Thanh Nhan Hospital and health workers to maximize the use of equipment to serve the medical examination and treatment needs of people.
