Since the issuance of Program 08, the department has elaborated and rolled out concrete and scientific contents, thus making strong changes in the awareness among cadres, civil servants and workers with the patient-centered goal.
Its subordinate units have positively implemented a plan on innovating style and service attitude of health workers towards achieving the satisfaction of patients via concrete contents and measures, such as maintaining operation of hotline, building civilized and friendly style, making public working time, among others.
Besides, the department has simplified administrative papers so as to create favorable conditions for local residents and enterprises. Since 2016, a total of 122 administrative procedures have been abolished.
Form 2016 to May, 2019, the department handled more than 54,200 dossiers, and 98.11% of them were processed as scheduled. So far, the department has provided 113 online public services at stage 3 and 4.
Especially, last year, the department conducted the patient satisfaction survey at 70 hospitals throughout the city. The results showed the average patient satisfaction index (PSI) reached 4.41, and the city’s general in-patient PSI fetched 95.18%.
Concluding the working session, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung recognized and appreciated the department’s drastic participation in carrying out Program 08.
He praised the achievements by the department in streamlining of its apparatus according to contents of Program 08 and the Municipal Steering Committee 39; building rules, regulations and processes to serve administrative reform; improving the qualification of cadres and health workers so as to increase the quality of healthcare services step by step.
Chung also requested the department to review administrative papers in the health sector, elaborate rules and processes for the satisfaction of the people, and provide knowledge on personnel management, and economy to cadres.
Underlining the role of information technology (IT) in health examination and treatment management, the Chairman urged the department to strengthen IT application towards building a “smart health” sector and launch the “Luong y nhu tu mau” (The doctor as gentle as mother) movement among officials and health workers.
