The information was revealed by the Organizing Board at a press on August 20.
Accordingly, the forum will focus on urgent issues related to startups; promoting awareness of creative entrepreneurship and start-up spirit in the community, especially among students, young people and intellectuals; and connecting domestic and international resources to boost start-up activities and the start-up ecosystems in Vietnam and Hanoi.
Speaking at the press conference, Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology said that the event is an opportunity to promote start-up activities in Vietnam and Hanoi in particular, raise the start-up spirit in the community, and provide connections between domestic and international resources.
Especially, the event will be a chance for science technology cooperation and experience exchanges in technology application research, network connection, start-up ecosystems, cooperation and investment promotion in technology.
Besides, at the two-day forum, delegates will discuss issues on innovation associated with sustainability, participation of multi-stakeholders from emerging economies.
In the framework of the forum, domestic and foreign startups will showcase innovative and technological products, services, and solutions.
The forum is expected to draw the participation of more than 3,000 delegates, including leaders of the Government, ministries, central agencies and cities; embassies of some countries in Hanoi; more than 100 domestic and international speakers; investors, technology corporations, domestic and foreign startup businesses; representatives from some institutes, universities and research institutes in Hanoi.
The 2019 Hanoi Innovation Summit is expected to serve as bridge to gather leading innovative pioneers and start-ups from all over the world to Vietnam, helping Vietnamese start-up enterprises achieve more experiences.
