The event saw the attendance of Permanent Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, and Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Le Hong Son.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Son Tay Town Party Committee Pham Thi Thanh Mai recalled the revolutionary tradition, and expressed he pride of the Party organization, government, people and armed forces of Son Tay.
According to her, Son Tay has made tremendous efforts to gain remarkable achievements in fields of economic development, urban management, agricultural sector and rural development.
The town has also made positive changes in developing socio-cultural sector; conserving and promoting local culture; building elegant and civilized Hanoians; carrying out the two codes of conduct; ensuring political security, social order and safety; consolidating national security and defense.

Celebrating the 65th anniversary of Son Tay’s liberation day and 50 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's testament, the town launched a contest on President Ho Chi Minh’s testament and received more than 23,700 entries. 10 collectives and 25 individuals were awarded.
The town leader pledged that Son Tay will continue promoting its revolutionary tradition; improving the Party organization’s leadership and combativeness to build the strong political system; bringing into full play the unity bloc; focusing on socio-economic development in association with environmental protection and social welfare; conserving and promoting local cultural values; maintaining national security and defense; striving to build a prosperous and civilized town.
